A rare opportunity to establish a sanctuary of peace. Help us raise to acquire the land
Secure the Sacred Foundation: 13 Acres for Our Monastery
Where Silence Meets Wisdom
Seethawanaarana is a sanctuary dedicated to the authentic Theravada Forest Tradition.
Our project is defined by the 13 acres of sacred ground we seek to protect—a lush vegetation belt bordering an expansive forest reserve. This location is not merely land; it is a Kammaṭṭhāna (place of work) designed to facilitate the deepest levels of mental cultivation.
The Path of Merit: Establishing Seethawana Aranya
A Vision for Solitude and Dhamma
For many years, the aspiration to establish a dedicated hermitage for forest-dwelling monks has been a guiding light. Our goal is to provide a serene environment where venerable monks can reside in solitude, fully committed to meditation and the longevity of the Sambuddha Sasana.
What We Do
Sustaining the Sasana, Preserving Seclusion
Our mission is rooted in the ancient traditions of the Forest Sangha, focusing on the preservation of the Dhamma through practice, protection, and community support.
01.
— Forest Seclusion (Viveka)
We identify and secure natural forest environments that provide the necessary “External Seclusion” for monks to practice deep meditation without worldly distraction.
02.
— Sangha Guardianship
We provide the four essential requisites (Atapirikara) and safe dwellings for the monastic community, ensuring they can dedicate their lives entirely to the path of liberation.
03.
— Dhamma Propagation
Through retreats, teachings, and digital outreach, we share the authentic Theravada Dhamma with a global audience, helping seekers find peace in a chaotic world.
04.
— Sacred Site Preservation
We engage in the restoration and protection of historic Buddhist sites and caves, maintaining the physical legacy of the Buddha Sasana for future generations.
05.
— International Sangha Support
We foster global Buddhist unity by hosting and supporting monks from international Theravada institutes, facilitating a cross-cultural exchange of wisdom.
06.
— Community Merit-Making
We create opportunities for laypeople to participate in high-merit acts, from grand Sanghika Danas to land sponsorships, connecting the community to the Sangha.
